Rugby World Cup organisers have expressed confidence the tournament will be a spectacular success.
International Rugby Board chief Bernard Lapasset says the stage is set for "an exceptional World Cup", which will start with a glittering ceremony at Auckland's Eden Park tomorrow night before the All Blacks and Tonga play.
The Frenchman says the country, the teams and the fans are ready and he has no doubt this will be a Cup that New Zealanders and the global rugby family will be proud of.
Although some 1,000 tickets are still available for the opener at 60,000-capacity Eden Park, sales were still on course to match forecasts, according to chief organiser Martin Snedden.
Scotland were one of the last teams to arrive in New Zealand, heading immediately to Invercargill in the far south to prepare for Saturday's Pool B opener against Romania.
