Ethiopia's double world record holder and Olympic champion Kenenisa Bekele won't be defending his 5,000 metres title at the world athletics championships because of injury.
Bekele has returned home from South Korea after failing to finish the 10,000 metres at the weekend in his first race for more than a year.
His calf injury has healed but he wouldn't have been fully fit for the longer event in Daegu.
