There could be a touch of royalty at this year's Melbourne Cup.
The Queen might not be in the crowd on the first of November, but one of her horses is being considered for nomination in the race.
A four-year-old from her stable, Tactician, has already been nominated for the Caulfield Cup, and a second placing in the historic English Ebor Handicap last weekend has guaranteed him a start in the Melbourne Cup.
Trainer Michael Bell expects a decision will be made quite soon by the Queen's racing advisor John Warren.
