Warriors likely to lose Ukuma Ta'ai for two matches

The Warriors are likely to lose forward Ukuma Ta'ai for two vital games in the run into the National Rugby League finals after he was charged with striking.

Ta'ai faces a grade two charge after appearing to strike Newcastle's James McManus with a swinging forearm as he fell on the Knights winger while making a tackle in the first half of the match, which the Warriors won in Auckland on Saturday night.

He'll miss two of the final three regular season games, against Penrith and St George Illawarra, with either an early guilty plea or an unsuccessful challenge at the NRL judiciary.

Another Warriors forward Ben Matulino copped grade one careless high tackle charges but won't miss a game.

The Warriors can still make the top four and earn a home final in week one, after stumbles by North Queensland and the Dragons.
