Team New Zealand has got it's America's Cup catamaran campaign off to a good start, winning the first regatta in the build-up series in Portugal.
The New Zealanders took a third place and three seconds, as well as winning the speed trial, to lead Sir Russell Coutt's Oracle Racing after the Cascais round.
The world series event is sailed in identical 45 foot catamarans which will be replaced by 72 foot boats for the Cup proper in 2013.
