The New Zealand men's basketball team has beaten hosts China 89-69 at the Stankovic Cup in Beijing.
It was a good result for the Tall Blacks who suffered a narrow loss to Russia yesterday.
Once again the Fiba rankings meant zero with China ranked at 10 and the Tall Blacks 18th.
Assistant coach Chris Tupu says it was a complete performance by the whole team which won them the contest.
Top scorer for the Tall Blacks was Kirk Penney with 20 followed by BJ Anthony on 19 and Mika Vukona 10.
New Zealand plays African champs, Angola tomorrow morning.
