The Brisbane Broncos won a memorable 21-20 victory over the Warriors when halfback Peter Wallace snapped a dramatic 78th-minute field goal to seal his skipper Darren Lockyer's record-equalling 349th National Rugby League game at Suncorp Stadium.

Warriors five-eighth James Maloney and halfback Shaun Johnson both missed field goal attempts during the tense closing minutes, before Wallace potted his match winner with 90 seconds left to play.

The Warriors were outscored four tries to three but led 12-8 at halftime and levelled at 20-20 when Maloney slotted a simple penalty goal in the 71st minute.

The Melbourne Storm beat Penrith 26-6 at their home AAMI Park - their 10th victory in succession to maintain a four-point buffer at the top of the NRL table.

The struggling Gold Coast Titans beat Cronulla 20-16 at Sydney's Toyota Stadium, but the win was soured by a suspected broken arm to their captain Scott Prince.
