The Junior All Whites have drawn 1-1 with Uruguay in their second group match at the Fifa under 20 World Cup in Colombia.
It is their second draw of the tournament for both sides and keeps them in the hunt for the knockout stage.
Despite defending for most of the match, the New Zealanders opened the scoring after 57 minutes through Andrew Bevan.
Uruguay replied after 74 minutes.
New Zealand drew 1-1 with Cameroon in their opening match and meet Portugal in their final group match on Saturday.
