Wellington golfer Michael Campbell's blown out to a third round seven over par 78 at the French Open, ending his chances of qualifying for the British Open in two weeks as well as any shot at victory.
Campbell went into the weekend in a five-way tie for ninth but needed a top five finish to earn a place at Sandwich.
That's all but impossible now as he's 13 shots behind the joint leaders, Mark Foster and James Morrison of Britain, in a share of 51st.
