The Wellington Saints' fourth quarter comeback has given them their second consecutive regular season National Basketball League title, beating Taranaki 107-99.
Taranaki will be disappointed after playing three and a half quarters of great basketball, leading by eight with six minutes left in the ball game.
Wellington left their best quarter for last outscoring the visitors 35-21, Taranaki down by only one with a minute 30 left in the ball game.
But they could not close out the game, ending their hopes of making the playoffs, which will be a sigh relief to Manawatu, who now clinch a playoff spot, joining Waikato, Southland, Nelson, Hawke's Bay and Saints for this year's top six.
