Young Australian rugby star James O'Connor has confirmed he's signed a two-year deal with the Melbourne Rebels and the Australian Rugby Union, leaving the Western Force to link up with good friend and Wallabies team-mate Kurtley Beale.
Beale's leaving the New South Wales Waratahs for the Rebels in 2012 while his combination with 20-year-old utility back O'Connor will dramatically strengthen a Rebels line-up that has struggled this season.
The competition newcomers finished their inaugural season in last position on the Super Rugby table.
