The New Zealand under 20 rugby team has made a massive statement in their quest to win a fourth consecutive IRB Junior World Championship title after demolishing Pool A rivals Wales 92-nil in their second match at the tournament.
The baby blacks scored 14 tries to none in the rout in Rovigo, Italy, and sit firmly on top of their group ahead of their final pool clash with Argentina on Sunday.
After thumping hosts Italy 64-7 in their first match on Saturday, the full-strength New Zealand side were ruthless against Wales scoring at will until the final ten minutes when the quality of the match degraded as both coaches cleared their benches.
Captain Luke Whitelock says the Baby Blacks were pleased with the performance after making several improvements from the win over Italy.
