US Open field complete

12:24 pm on 14 June 2011

The American golfers Gary Woodland and Brad Adamonis have filled the last two spots in the field of 156 for this week's US Open championship, starting on Friday at the Congressional Country Club in Maryland.

Woodland, who won his maiden PGA Tour title in March, gained his place via the top 50 in the latestt world rankings.

Adamonis got into the field after organisers had held back a spot in case more players gained exemptions through the world rankings.

The 2005 champion Michael Campbell is the only New Zealander in the field, and he tees off early, in the fourth group for the opening round.
