Halfback Piri Weepu and fullback Cory Jane are the contracts the Hurricanes are hoping to confirm next as they continue to build towards 2012.
It was announced on Wednesday that captain Andrew Hore and centre Ma'a Nonu, who have both played a hundred games for the franchise, would not be offered contracts for next year.
A number of experienced players have now confirmed their departure from the Super Rugby side with coach Mark Hammett obviously wanting a fresh start in 2012.
Jane, who flirted with the idea of moving overseas earlier this year, does look set to stay in the capital, but says the news of Hore and Nonu has made them all think about their futures.
