England name three cricket captains

The England and Wales Cricket Board have uniquely named three different captains to take the national team forward in the game's various formats.

Particularly surprising is the promotion of the opening batsman Alastair Cook to the one-day captaincy only a few months after he was overlooked for a place in an injury-plagued England squad for the recent World Cup.

The 24-year-old all rounder Stuart Broad, who has been named Twenty20 captain, is regarded as a long-term candidate to replace Andrew Strauss as test captain.

The West Indies have beaten Pakistan by 10 wickets in the fifth one-day international at Georgetown.

Pakistan were bowled out for just 139 in the 42nd over and an unbeaten 77 from West Indies batsman Lendl Simmons led to the hosts reaching the target with 26 and a half overs to spare.

Pakistan still win the five-match series 3-2.
