The world's number two golfer Lee Westwood has been playing down the drama of his plane making an emergency landing on route to the Masters at Augusta.

Fellow golfer Ross Fisher, the two players caddies, and Westwood's manager, Andrew 'Chubby' Chandler, were on board when smoke began emerging from the cockpit.

The pilot turned the plane around and landed safely, and Westwood says it wasn't as serious as some made out.
