The Silver Ferns shooter Irene van Dyk will become the first Waikato-Bay of Plenty Magic netball player to reach one hundred games for the franchise, when the Magic play the top of the table Queensland Firebirds in Brisbane tonight.
The Firebirds are unbeaten in their eight trans-Tasman competition games so far this year while the Magic have lost just one of their seven matches to be in second spot.
Van Dyk joined the Magic in 2003 moving from the Wellington based Capital Shakers.
She's most capped international netballer having played 118 tests for New Zealand and 72 for South Africa.
