Auckland Grammar School and St Peters College of Cambridge have ended years of domination by Hamilton Boys High and Rangi Ruru Girls' College in the top coxed fours races at rowing's Maadi Cup on Lake Karapiro.
Auckland beat the Napier and Marlborough Boys' High crews with the holders Hamilton sixth.
And St Peters led all the way from Christchurch Girls' High and Wellington Girls' College with Christchurch's Rangi Ruru fifth.
