Formula One's governing body has given the green light to next month's Chinese Grand Prix after inspecting improvements to the Shanghai circuit and signing a new licence.
The April 17th race, the third round of the season, was listed on the 2011 calendar with an asterisk against it subject to a new licence being granted.
The required renovation work included laying fresh asphalt and resolving a subsidence problem which caused jolting when cars went through turns one, eight and 14.
Shanghai last month extended its deal to host the grand prix until 2017.
