The New Zealand Bowls coach says two of the team's Christchurch players have recovered from earthquake injuries in time for this week's trans-Tasman competition in Invercargill .
Dave Edwards, who's also from Christchurch, says while they're all hugely affected psychologically they're also glad to have something else to concentrate on.
Edwards says Jan Shirley was only a couple of doors away from the collapsed Pyne Gould building and was bruised after being thrown around her office.
He says Shirley was pretty scarred mentally, too, so it's a big challenge for her while Jo Edwards had damaged her shoulder but luckily she's recovered.
The three days competition starts on Wednesday.
