India beat Proteas by one run

The Indian cricketers have levelled the one-day series at 1-1 after beating South Africa by one run at the Wanderers in Johannesburg.

Paceman Munaf Patel clinched the thrilling win in the second match after South Africa, chasing a modest target of 191, appeared on track.

Captain Graeme Smith hit 77 but paceman Patel took four for 29 as the Proteas were bowled out for 189 in the 48th over.

Earlier, fast bowler Lonwabo Tsotsobe claimed his second successive four-wicket haul as India made 190 all out after electing to bat first on a slowish pitch.

Yuvraj Singh top scored with 53.

The third game in the five-match series is in Cape Town on Wednesday.
