The Australian National Basketball League's Perth Wildcats and New Zealand Breakers both recorded impressive wins in their round eight games on Sunday to continue their march up the ANBL ladder.

The Wildcats returned to the winners list at Perth's Challenge Stadium by thumping the Townsville Crocodiles, 90-64.

The Wildcats record 26-point victory lifts them to a 6-4 record and knocks the Crocs down to 5-5 after also losing in Adelaide on the first leg of their Doomsday Double roadtrip on Friday night.

Meanwhile, the New Zealand Breakers scored a 94-80 victory over the Sydney Kings at the Sydney Entertainment Centre.

The Breakers built an impressive 19-point advantage in the first half, before withstanding a determined Kings resurgence in the second half.

New Zealand improved to 7-2 on the season, joining the Wollongong Hawks atop the ladder, while the Kings have taken up permanent residency in the basement after slumping to their seventh straight loss.

Former King, CJ Bruton top scored for the Breakers with 23 points in a vintage performance, while Gary Wilkinson and Kirk Penney each added 16.

The Breakers (7-2) return home to face the Cairns Taipans on Thursday, while the Kings (1-7) host the Wollongong Hawks next Sunday.
