Eighth for NZ trio at women's amateur golf world champs

The New Zealand women's golf team has finished eighth equal at the amateur world championships in Argentina.

Going into the final day in 15th, the New Zealand trio produced an outstanding finish to end with a share of eighth alongside Germany and the Philippines.

Led by an impressive three-under par 69 from Cecilia Cho, they closed with a two-under par 142, bettered only by runaway winners Korea in the last round and only three shots from third place.

Lydia Ko had the other counting score with a one-over 73 with two birdies and one dropped shot while Caroline Bon had the non-counting four-over 76.
