The New Zealand Maori rugby league team has come from 18-0 down against England to draw 18-18 in a Four Nations warm-up match at Mt Smart Stadium in Auckland.
England will play New Zealand in the Four Nations opener in Wellington next week.
The match was a curtain-raiser for the Kiwis first-ever encounter with Samoa, who they thrashed 50-6 in their final hit-out before the Four Nations tournament starts.
Australia will host Papua New Guinea in their first match of the tournament on Saturday.
