The New Zealander Richard Patterson has won the silver medal in the men's under-85 kilo weightlifting event.
Patterson was in first place after the snatch, successfully lifting 150 kilogrammes.
But the 27-year-old struggled in the clean and jerk, and was successful in just one of his attempts.
His 181 kilogrammes lift gave him a 331 kilogrammes total, two kilos less than the Australian gold medalist Simplice Ribouem, who had managed a lift of 183 in the clean and jerk to claim the Games title.
