England have beaten Wales 3-nil to secure top spot in Group B at the Qatar FIFA World Cup.

After an uneventful first-half, the Three Lions were stuck in a nil-nil deadlock against Wales heading into half-time at the Ahmed bin Ali Stadium.

Two quickfire goals shortly after half-time opened up the game, with the first coming from an impressive free kick from Marcus Rashford.

Phil Foden made it two shortly after, latching onto a perfect low cross to the back post from Harry Kane.

To finish off the scoring, Rashford got on the end of a long ball before cutting inside the Welsh defense to thrash a shot into the net, deflecting off the keeper on it's way in.

The result secured top spot in Group B for England, setting up a Round of 16 encounter with Senegal.

Meanwhile, Wales have crashed out of the World Cup finishing at the bottom of Group B with just one point.

In the other Group B fixture, USA defeated Iran 1-nil in a tense match to secure the second spot in the group and ultimately progression for the Americans.
