The manager of English Premier League football side Sunderland, Roy Keane, has responded to a third straight home defeat by asking if he was the right man for the job.

Keane had hoped to celebrate his 100th game in charge of Sunderland with a win today but instead found himself facing the prospect of a relegation battle after a 4-1 loss to Bolton Wanderers.

Keane says he asks himself every day if he is the right man for the job.

On top of three straight home league defeats Sunderland also lost to Blackburn Rovers at home in the League Cup fourth round.

Keane says a manager he has no excuses.
