Alker finished ten under par at the Boeing Classic, five shots behind winner Miguel Angel Jimenez of Spain.
It is his eleventh top ten finish this year.
He has won three times in 2022, with his worst result a tie for 20th.
Alker is closing in on $4 million in earnings this year.
There are another seven tournaments before the end of season play-offs on the over-50 tour.
London derby ends with red cards

Cheika in tears after win
Argentina coach Michael Cheika had mixed emotions after his side's record 48-17 Rugby Championship victory over Australia in San Juan yesterday, but says he will "do everything" to make the Pumas a force at next year's World Cup in France.

Australian Cheika was coach of the Wallabies between 2014 and 2019, but after initially taking on a consultant role, took over Argentina fulltime in March.
He masterminded a seven-try romp for his side against a depleted Wallabies, Argentina's biggest ever win over Australia and their largest in the Rugby Championship.
"I love these guys, they're my crew now," Cheika said. "I was up on the last try, cheering. But then I started crying because I know I probably shouldn't be doing this. It was a bit confusing for me, personally.
Argentina will now head to New Zealand for two further Rugby Championship tests, the first of which is in Christchurch on Aug. 27. Each team in the competition, which also includes South Africa, has won one game after the opening two rounds.
"It's good to be going to Australia and have a few days off, seeing my mum and my brothers and sisters and take the boys for a Leb (Lebanese) feed at my mum's place," Cheika said.
"But I am looking forward to going to New Zealand because it is a great place to go and play rugby."

Evans second in Formula E
New Zealand driver Mitch Evans has been pipped for the Formula E title.

The Jaguar driver needed to win the final race in South Korea and hope former F1 driver Stoffel Vandoorne finished no better than eighth.
However the Belgian finished second behind Venturi's Edoardo Mortara to clinch the title for the departing Mercedes team.
Evans had closed the gap to 21 points after winning from third on Saturday but qualified only 13th for Sunday's race as he lost the title by 33 points.
Mercedes, who clinched a second successive constructors' title, announced a year ago they will leave Formula E to concentrate on Formula 1.

Injury to Nelson cyclist
Cyclist Niamh Fisher-Black's season may have come to an end after she suffered an injury over the weekend.
Fisher-Black crashed while riding for her SD Worx team on the Tour of Scandanavia.
The Dutch team has confirmed that the 22 year old suffered a small fracture to the end of her collarbone.
Dane Cecilie Ludwig won the tour, while the best placed New Zealander was Georgia Williams in 22nd place.
The world road championships are in Australia next month.
Henry out of Tour
Black Caps fast bowler Matt Henry has been ruled out of the ODI leg of the West Indies tour with a rib injury.
Ben Sears has been named as his replacement.
Henry first experienced pain in his left side during training last week, and his condition hasn't improved since then, prompting the decision to replace him.
He was not part of the New Zealand playing XI for the first two T20Is against West Indies, both of which the visitors won to clinch the series, with the third and final game scheduled for this morning.
Henry featured in three ODIs against Ireland in July and picked up four wickets, after which he was released from the squad to play for Kent in county cricket.
Sears has played six T20Is but is yet to make his ODI debut.
