Newcastle United have beaten Aston Villa 2-nil at St Jame's Park to move off the bottom of the English Premier League table.
Obafemi Martins scored twice in a stirring second-half performance to move them up to 14th in the standings.... Villa remain 5th.
Newcastle's win completed a good weekend for the clubs at the bottom end of the table after Tottenham Hotspur beat Liverpool, Stoke City stunned Arsenal and Bolton Wanderers and Wigan Athletic also collected maximum points.
