The New Zealand cricket captain Daniel Vettori completed a great all rounder's match to lead his side to a hard fought and record victory over Bangladesh in the opening game of their two-Test series in Chittagong.
Set 317 runs to win, New Zealand achieved their target in the final session after Vettori made 76, having gone in at the fall of the second wicket, and fellow left hander Daniel Flynn with 49 steered the Black Caps towards victory.
Vettori said it was a very satisfying achievement as it wasn't an easy challenge against a side which had the momentum.
He says it was pleasing to chase down a target they would have previously struggled with.
It's easily New Zealand's biggest successful run chase in Test matches on tour.
The second Test in Dhaka starts on Saturday.
