Former Warriors coach tipped to take over the reins at Paramatta

The former Warriors and Kiwis rugby league coach Daniel Anderson is being touted as a likely successor to Michael Hagan at the Paramatta Eels.

Hagan has resigned his job as head coach of the National Rugby League club citing family and personal health reasons.

His resignation comes two years into his three year contract and on the back of a poor season by the Eels who were expected to make the top eight play-offs but failed to do so.

Anderson is returning to Australia without a job after a successful stint with St Helens.

The Paramatta club says it expects to have a replacement appointed by Christmas.
