The New Zealand golfer Tim Wilkinson fired a second round seven under par 65 to just avoid the cut at the Las Vegas Open on the US PGA Tour.
After an opening round even par 72, Wilkinson fired one of the best rounds of the day to be tied for 56th, 11 strokes behind the leaders Matt Kurchar and Marc Turnesa of the United States.
Another New Zealander, Grant Waite, did miss the cut.
The cut fell at six under, matching the lowest on the PGA Tour, with US Ryder Cup captain Paul Azinger and double major winner John Daly among those missing out.
