Manly's National Rugby League grand final-winning centre Steve Matai will join the Kiwis in Auckland today for their World Cup campaign.
He was cleared after visiting a specialist in Sydney yesterday.
Matai says he was told his shoulder injury would not require immediate surgery, enabling him to take his place in the Kiwis' 24-man World Cup squad.
The Kiwi's play Tonga in a warmup match in Auckland on Saturday before heading to Australia to prepare for their opening World Cup match against the hosts on the 26th.
