Some 33 horses remain in contention for the world's richest weight-for-age race, the WS Cox Plate to be run at Moonee Valley in Melbourne on the 25th of this month.

Tuesday was the deadline for third acceptance fees, and the leading New Zealand hopefuls still paid up include the brilliant New Zealand mare Princess Coup, the winner of last Saturday's $2 million Kelt Capital Stakes in Hastings, last season's New Zealand Derby winner C'est La Guerre, and the Cambridge-trained Nom de Jeu, winner of the AJC Derby in Sydney earlier this year.
