Young New Zealand footballers Callum McCowatt and Elijah Just have made a big impact on their Danish club since returning from the Tokyo Olympics.

They have both scored for FC Helsingor this morning to help them to a come-from-behind 3-1 win over Vendsyssel FF.

McCowatt came off the bench to put Helsingor in front before Just sealed the win in the 67th minute.

It is McCowatt's second goal in as many games and has helped Helsingor continue their perfect start to the Danish first division.

They have four wins from four and sit two points clear atop the league.

Callum McCowatt and Elijah Just were both regulars in the OlyWhites side that advanced to the quarterfinals in Japan after making their All Whites debut together against Ireland in November 2019.

They have also been teammates in the New Zealand under-20 side and at Eastern Suburbs in the old national premiership.
