A sixth test century to Henry Nicholls has held the Black Caps innings together on the the opening day of the second cricket test against the West Indies at the Basin Reserve in Wellington.
At stumps New Zealand were 294-6 after the tourists won the toss and elected to bowl on a pitch which offered the bowlers bounce and seam throughout the day.
