Latest - Ten-man Manchester City gave up a two goal lead as they crashed to a 3-2 defeat by Wolverhampton Wanderers at Molineux to leave them 14 points adrift of Premier League leaders Liverpool.
City's Brazilian keeper Ederson was sent off in the 12th minute after he raced out of his area and clipped Diogo Jota, who tumbled to the ground.
The VAR review backed referee Martin Atkinson's decision but the system was soon back to familiar controversy when it awarded City a penalty -- ruling that Leander Dendoncker had trod on the foot of City winger Riyad Mahrez.
Wolves keeper Rui Patricio saved Raheem Sterling's spot kick, but VAR spotted an encroachment in the area by Conor Coady who had cleared the loose ball and so the penalty had to be retaken. Again, Patricio saved from Sterling but this time the England winger drove home the rebound to put City in front.
Sterling then doubled City's lead, five minutes after the interval, with a composed finish after had been sent clear by a defence-splitting pass from Kevin De Bruyne.
Wolves got back into the game though, five minutes later, when Adama Traore, who had scored twice in Wolves' win at City in October, beat substitute keeper Claudio Bravo with a low drive from outside the area.
It was poor defending from City full back Benjamin Mendy that handed Wolves the equaliser with less than ten minutes remaining. The Frenchman in trying to usher the ball out for a goal kick was robbed by Traore, who zipped a low pass across the goal to Raul Jimenez, who slotted home.
The dramatic winner came in the 89th minute when Matt Doherty weaved his way through the City defence before poking a left-foot shot past Bravo.

Ibrahimovic back at Milan
Former Sweden and Manchester United striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has rejoined AC Milan on a six-month deal, with the option for another season.
The 38-year-old was a free agent after leaving LA Galaxy at the end of the Major League Soccer season.
The Serie A side said Ibrahimovic "will be in Milan on 2 January, 2020 to take his medical" and join his team-mates.
Ibrahimovic was at Serie A side Milan from 2010 to 2012, scoring 42 goals in 61 league games for the club.
He joined LA Galaxy in March 2018 and scored 53 goals during his time in the United States as well as being named in the MLS best XI teams of 2018 and 2019.
Third straight win for Breakers
Forward Scotty Hopson has produced the game winning shot two weeks in a row as the Breakers pipped the Brisbane Bullets 99-96 in their NBL basketball clash in Brisbane.
After delivering the Breakers their first road win of the season against Illawarra last week, Hopson did it again with a last-gasp three-pointer to push his side past the Bullets.
The Bullets had led for most of the match - by as many as 15 points - before the Breakers surge came in the final quarter.
Finn Delaney (18 points, seven rebounds, three assists) locked up the scores in the final minute with a clutch triple, but Brisbane looked to have sealed the game when Lamar Patterson delivered a big-time shot with just 12 seconds remaining on the clock.
But pressure from Hopson (27 points, six rebounds, four assists, two steals) and Tom Abercrombie forced Patterson to cough up possession and then surrender an unsportsmanlike foul for good measure.
Abercrombie again locked up the scores from the free-throw line before Hopson silenced the Brisbane crowd.
The win means the Breakers have leapfrogged Brisbane at 7-10 and keep their finals destiny in their own hands.
The Breakers will now travel to Adelaide to take on the 36ers on Sunday.
Proteas on top
South Africa bowled England out for 181 in their first innings and had built up a significant 175-run lead by the close of play on the second day of the first cricket test at Centurion Park.
But a see-saw contest was still in the balance as the hosts were precariously placed on 72 for four in their second innings as England sought to bowl themselves back into contention.
Rassie van der Dussen (17) and nightwatchman Anrich Nortje (4) will resume on Saturday with South Africa looking to take the contest away from the tourists, who need early wickets to keep alive hopes of engineering an exciting comeback.
South Africa started the day on 277-9 and were quickly out as they added just seven runs for a first innings total of 284.
Joe Denly top scored in the England innings with 50, while Ben Stokes made 35.
England lost their last seven wickets for 39 runs with Vernon Philander taking 4-16 from 14.2 overs and Kagiso Radaba bagging 3-68.

Fury-Wilder rematch announced
Tyson Fury's rematch with WBC world heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder will take place in Las Vegas on 22 February, both fighters have confirmed.
Briton Fury, 31, drew with undefeated American Wilder, 34, in December 2018.
Wilder, whose WBC belt will be on the line when they meet at the MGM Grand, tweeted "there will be no more unanswered questions" and "I will finish what I started".
Fury told fans on Instagram to "watch me knock out Deontay Wilder".
Wilder said as long ago as June that an agreement had been signed for a rematch, but that it would take place after his fight with Cuba's Luis Ortiz, who he went on to defeat at the MGM Grand in November.
Fury survived two knockdowns by the American to earn a draw when they last met, in Los Angeles.

Tuatara pipped
The league-leading Adelaide Giants have come out on top in a pitcher's duel in their Australian Baseball League game against the Auckland Tuatara with a 1-0 win in Adelaide.
Jared Koenig (5IP, 1 earned run, 7 hits, 2 strike outs), in what was likely his last start in a Tuatara uniform, battled hard without his best stuff but gave the visitors enough of a platform to have a chance to win the game.
The big left-hander has now been signed by the Oakland Athletics and is likely to head back to the United States in the coming days.
The Giants out-hit the Tuatara 10-4 on the night and starting pitcher Chase Cunningham regularly got ahead of the Tuatara hitters.
Andrew Marck singled in the ninth to give the visitors a chance to score the tying run but they couldn't bring him home.
Elliot Johnstone impressed in three innings of relief - striking out five and allowing no runs on three hits to continue his strong run of form out of the bullpen.
Newcomer Isac Franklin, Josh Morgan and Josh McAdams joined Marck in getting a hit on the night.
The two sides - who currently lead their respective divisions - will meet in a double header today.
Taylor heading to Wallabies
Australia has lured Matt Taylor home from Scotland to become the Wallabies' defence coach on a four-year deal under Dave Rennie.
The 47-year-old Taylor was an assistant to Scotland coach Gregor Townsend at the Rugby World Cup in Japan and has been involved with championship-winning teams in both hemispheres.
He helped the Queensland Reds to the 2011 Super Rugby title as defence coach under Ewen McKenzie before moving to Pro14 side Glasgow Warriors for their run to the 2014/15 championship.
Taylor's appointment follows the announcement of Scott Wisemantel as Australia's attack coach two weeks ago.
Australia are rebuilding after being eliminated from the quarter-finals in Japan, their equal worst finish at a World Cup.
New Zealander Rennie was named last month to replace head coach Michael Cheika, who resigned promptly after Japan.

Sherrock beaten at World Darts
Fallon Sherrock's pioneering success story for women at the World Darts Championships came to a gallant end as she was beaten by Chris Dobey 4-2 in the third round in London.
Sherrock made global headlines by beating Ted Evetts in the opening round to become the first woman to win a match at the sport's showpiece tournament and caused an even bigger stir by dumping out world number 11 Mensur Suljovic in the second round.
Fallon, a 2,000-1 outsider at the start of the event, was the clear crowd favourite against world number 22 Dobey and twice went ahead in the match, winning the first and third sets before Dobey came back to win.
She will collect $50,000 in prize money.
Comanche pulls away to win
Comanche has won the 75th running of the Sydney to Hobart, the Australian yacht's third time taking out line honours in the annual race.
After taking a wider route across Bass Strait, the New South Wales supermaxi made the most of strong overnight winds to cross the finish line 45 minutes ahead of another Australian super maxi InfoTrack.
Skippered by Jim Cooney and Samantha Grant, Comanche crossed the River Derwent finish line just after 9.30am (NZ time) on Saturday.
A total of 157 boats started the race, with Comanche eventually pulling away as a group of five made their way down the east coast of Tasmania.
Win for Wanderers
Western Sydney Wanderers have moved up to sixth on the A-League football ladder after a thrilling 3-2 win at Adelaide United.
The Reds had two VAR-ruled penalties awarded in the dying stages when trailing 3-1, but could only covert the first as the visitors held on to win.
For the second consecutive home match in Adelaide, the temperature hovered close to 38 degrees at kick off.
It was the Wanderers first win since round three and moves them just about the Wellington Phoenix who play Western United in Melbourne tonight.
