Deans looking to Olympic runner for ways to handle pressure

The Wallabies have to learn how to better deal with pressure in big game situations, according to coach Robbie Deans.

His comments come as the Australian's prepare for the second Bledisloe Cup clash with the All Blacks in Christchurch on Saturday night, following the 49-28 drubbing at the hands of their Tri-nations rivals in Melbourne last weekend.

The Wallabies are currently in the midst of their worst ever trans-Tasman losing streak and Deans says they've been looking to an Australian Olympic gold medallist for inspiration.

He says pressure's not visible and Cathy Freeman summed it up when she won the 400 metres at the Sydney Olympic Games in 2000.

Deans says the whole nation expected a result and Freeman said she simply concentrated on what she had to do - and that's all the Wallabies can do too.
