The New Zealand men 's basketball coach Nenad Vucinic says while Corey Webster's suspension for cannabis use has cost him a chance of going to the world championships, it won't end his international career.
The Sport's Tribunal has suspended Webster until August the 23rd, ruling him out of the Tall Blacks' final training camp on Auckand's North Shore.
Basketball New Zealand has accepted the decision, which follows a positive test in May and provisional suspension since June the 23rd.
Vucinic says life is about making the right choices and unfortunately Webster hasn't.
He says Webster is not the only one paying the price but he's young and can learn from his mistake.
