Phil Mickleson has beaten fellow American golf star Tiger Woods after extra holes to win their high-stakes winner-takes-all match.

Claiming the purse of more than $13 million, Mickleson won the match at the Shadow Creek course in Las Vegas on the fourth extra hole.
The two players, who have 19 major championships between them, were all-square after the regulation 18 holes.
The pair played the par fifth 18th as their first extra hole, before playing an 85 metre "19th hole" three times, with the match finishing in the dark and under lights.
