Drogba and Ivory Coast feeling the pressure from fans

The Chelsea and Ivory Coast football star Didier Drogba concedes the national side is under immense pressure to perform at the World Cup but says he's confident the team can live up to the fans expectations.

The current generation of players are considered the Ivory Coast's most talented in many years but have been the under-achievers of African football and have yet to fulfil their potential.

Runners up at the African Cup of Nations in 2006 they failed to get any further than the last eight in Angola in January but Drogba admits hopes remain high among the Ivory Coast fans.

Drogba, the teams talisman, is struggling to be fit for the tournament after having surgery on a fractured arm just last weekend.
