The Ivory Coast captain Didier Drogba has undergone a successful operation on his fractured elbow although his team won't say whether he'll be able to play at the football World Cup.
The Ivory Coast football federation says medical staff are confident Drogba will make "a rapid recovery" but did not elaborate.
The 32-year-old Chelsea striker was injured during a 2-0 friendly win over Japan in Sion.
