Germany have suffered another blow in the countdown to the World Cup football finals.
A third member of their squad, midfielder Christian Traesch has been ruled out of the tournament with an ankle injury.
22 year old Traesch joins the German captain Michael Ballack and first choice goal keeper Rene Adler as non-starters for the trip to South Africa.
Germany haven't yet decided who will take over as captain.
