The Auckland pole-vaulter Eliza McCartney remains in doubt for next week's Diamond League Final in Zurich because of injury.
McCartney pulled out of the Birmingham Diamond League meeting last weekend after injuring her foot.
She landed heavily on her feet after aborting an attempted vault.
The Olympic bronze medalist suffered bruising to her heel and has since had her foot in a moon boot.
The condition of the 21 year old has improved but she's not yet back to a point where she is able to run and train fully.
McCartney will miss a meeting in Germany this weekend but hopes to compete in the Diamond League finale in Zurich next week and then the Continental Cup in the Czech Republic a week after that.
How I am smiling in these photos even eludes me! I really could not make ends meet in the horrific wind today and ended up in the box on my opening height. Thankfully the damage isn’t too bad, no broken bones at least just some heavy soft tissue bruising. It might take a bit of time to recover but at the moment I’m still planning on seeing the season out. Back to the crutches we go Also thank you to all the girls for their support ❤️ Tough day at the office but everyone did so well to get jumps out in those conditions. : @jeffcohenphoto
