The All Whites training camp cum trial for their Australasian-based players ahead of next month's World Cup is continuing after a weekend romp against Auckland City.
The national football team scored five goals to City's one at Kiwitea Street and star striker Shane Smeltz was happy to get on the scoresheet.
Smeltz was impressed with the shadow All Whites' play, with the side gelling well despite not much time together, and plenty of attacking play.
As New Zealand A, the camp takes on a New Zealand Football Championship XI on Sunday.
The two first-choice goalkeepers, Glen Moss and Mark Paston, will take up the gloves for the NZ A while the two others, James Bannatyne and Jacob Spoonley, will keep for the NZFC XI.
Others vying for the selectors' attention include City's defender Chad Coombes and midfielder Jason Haynes.
The NZFC XI will go all out with five out-and-out strikers named, including YoungHeart Manawatu's golden boot winner Seule Soromon, former All Whites Brent Fisher from Waitakere United and Team Wellington's one-cap international Greg Draper.
