The New Plymouth skier Corey Peters has won New Zealand's first medal at the PyeongChang Paralympic Winter Games.
Peters has won a bonze medal in the men's Downhill Sitting.
Peters won a silver medal in the Giant Slalom four years ago in Sochi.
He has another four events in PyeongChang.
Following a spinal cord injury in a motocross accident in 2009, Peters' impairment means he races in Sport Class LW12-1.
Meanwhile Adam Hall was fifth in the Standing Downhill.
Hall was just over a second outside third place.
Hall, who is competing at his fourth Paralympics, entered the Games ranked third in the Downhill.
The Dunedin athlete still has another three events in PyeongChang.
Hall's Spina bifida means he races in sport class LW1, for athletes with significant leg muscle weakness.
