Vitaly Petrov celebrated a double success at the Chinese Grand Prix , getting to the end of a Formula One race for the first time and becoming the first Russian to win points in the sport.
The 25-year-old from Vyborg, near the Finnish border, was the first Russian to compete in Formula One this season but he failed to finish his first three races.
But he was riding as high as fourth after a chaotic start to the rain-hit race and overtook the Mercedes of Michael Schumacher and Red Bull's Mark Webber in a blistering late stint to finish seventh.
