The World Cup-winning former Wallabies captain John Eales has been appointed to the board of the Australian Rugby Union.
Eales, who led led Australia to victory at the 1999 World Cup in Wales, played 86 Tests, after making his debut in 1991.
The ARU also announced an operating surplus of $8 million and a net deficit of $365,000 after allocations to member unions for coaching and development.
