A rugby league Test between New Zealand and England in Denver this year is reportedly close to getting the green light.
The British Press Association says the proposed Test in June "looks certain" to go ahead on June 23rd.
It would be the first Test either nation has played in the United States.
The match is the brainchild of Australian promoter Jason Moore as part of his bid to raise awareness of rugby league ahead of the 2025 World Cup, which will be jointly hosted by the USA and Canada.
The weekend was deliberately left free by UK Super League clubs for internationals and is also blank for the NRL, with the second State of Origin match scheduled.
England are also playing the Kiwis in a three-match Test series in the UK in October and November.
