West Indies cricket captain Jason Holder has been suspended for the second test against New Zealand in Hamilton because of a slow over rate in the first Test in Wellington.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) found his team guilty of a slow over rate during their defeat by New Zealand in the first test in Wellington.

The Windies were ruled to be three overs short of their target after time allowances were taken into consideration.

Holder has also been fined 60-percent of his match fee while each of his teammates incurs a 30-percent fine.

The captain was suspended because this was his second offence in a 12-month period; he was found guilty of the same offence during a test against Pakistan in April.
